Hughes Relocation Services is a moving and relocation company headquartered in Lansdale, PA. Jayn, the CPO of Hughes Relocation, was searching for a new digital marketing agency to help ramp up business. With two locations - Ocala, Florida, and Lansdale, PA, Jayn was looking to increase leads and grow the business in both target areas. After previously spending money with Yelp to try and increase contact form submissions, Jayn quickly realized it wasn’t working and marketing dollars were being wasted. She wanted to find a local digital marketing agency to get the job done and increase their lead generation efforts.



Jayn started with SEO Locale in July of 2018. The first step for SEO Locale was to recreate Hughes’ Google Analytics Code since the previous digital marketing company she left behind didn’t provide it - a fresh start for Hughes Relocation. We began by completing a full competitive analysis and identified keywords that have high search volume and high user-intent. While collaborating with Jayn, we established a set list of industry-related local keywords for both Ocala, Florida and Lansdale, PA. Our team worked closely with Jayn to ensure we hit the right keywords and locations for the services and specific target areas Hughes Relocations offers.

Our SEO strategy then includes mapping out these keywords. We then create on-page SEO recommendations for those pages we are looking to target. This process highlights how we will use these keywords to optimize our target landing pages. Content is the next phase of our strategy. We worked closely with the Hughes Relocation team to create content to support the overall SEO campaign and their voice. The final phase of our campaign consists of on-going optimizations and closely monitoring keyword rankings, traffic and contact submissions. Included in on-going maintenance is ensuring that all business listings across the web are uniform (link building) and optimizing the website for local search (Google My Business) and utilizing local and niche directories.

Hughes Relocation keyword rankings have drastically improved since June of 2018. Before our keyword research and SEO efforts, more than 40 of their target keywords ranked did not rank on the first page of Google, causing their organic search traffic to suffer. Now in July of 2019, 88 of their keywords are ranking positions 1 to 20 on Google.

Since we don't have data to compare from the previous year, we can only show the growth from the first 6 months of when Hughes started with us to the most recent 6 months.  With the help of our keyword rankings, Hughes overall organic traffic has increased by 34%.

Our SEO strategy highlights a little over 100 keywords we optimized. Below is an example of our customized client dashboard which all clients have full access to. Hughes Relocation has been able to watch their keyword rankings increase over time as well as see their traffic and leads increase.

The chart below shows the increase in all the keyword rankings from August of 2018 when Hughes signed with us to the beginning of July 2019. There are a little over 700 keywords, including the 111 we chose to track.

Since the organic keyword rankings have improved, the organic traffic to their website has also dramatically increased since working with us. The graph below shows the increase in user traffic to their website from August 2018 to July 2019.

Our goal is to not only increase the positions of the keywords we chose in our SEO campaign, but to also increase the organic traffic from all the keywords.
