Pay Per Click in Montgomery County, PA

Paid search for Montgomery County businesses.

Montgomery County is where both of our offices sit, and it is the market we know best by the mile. A campaign here has to know that King of Prussia, Blue Bell, Lansdale and Pottstown are four different auctions with four different customers, and that a click on Route 309 at seven in the morning is worth more to a contractor than one in Conshohocken at noon. We build the Google Ads and Local Services Ads campaigns township by township and check them every working day.

How the County Campaign Runs

Four jobs an account in Montco gets right.

What we do in every Montgomery County account, from the first week on.

Targeting by township and zip

The county is mapped by municipality, and each gets the bid it deserves. Upper Merion does not pay for Upper Hanover and the other way round.

Schedules from your call log

Trades are searched at dawn and on Saturdays; practices at lunch; restaurants at night. The ad schedule is built from when your calls actually come in.

Local Services Ads for the trades

HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing and the home services that fill the county get the Google Screened spot above the results, priced per lead.

The county by corridor

The county by corridor

Montgomery County is easier to read by its roads than by its borders, and that is how we build the campaigns.

  • Route 309 and 202. Montgomeryville, North Wales, Lansdale, Hatfield: home services, auto, manufacturing and the practices in the parks off 202.
  • The 476 and 76 corridor. Conshohocken, Plymouth Meeting, King of Prussia, Blue Bell: offices, medical and the restaurants that serve them, searched at lunch and after work.
  • Route 422 and the west. Pottstown, Limerick, Royersford: a separate market with its own prices and its own customers.
  • The 611 and the east. Jenkintown, Abington, Willow Grove, Horsham: our second office, and a market that overlaps the city.
Run from inside the county

Run from inside the county

Our main office is in Montgomery Township and the second is in Jenkintown. The people setting your bids drive the roads in the campaign, know which towns a customer will cross for a specialist and which they will not, and have run accounts for Montco contractors, practices, dealers and firms since 2015.

Management is priced on the account, not on the spend, and the account stays in your name.

Why Montgomery County Is Different

Sixty-two municipalities, and no two bid alike.

King of Prussia is office parks and the mall; Lansdale and Hatfield are trades and manufacturing; Blue Bell and Plymouth Meeting are medical and professional; Pottstown and Norristown are their own cities with their own prices. A county-wide campaign pays the King of Prussia rate everywhere. We set the bids where the customers are.

SEO Locale has been incredible to work with. We had been using another company before them, and the results were very poor so partnering with SEO Locale was a breath of fresh air. From day one the difference in communication, professionalism, and results was obvious. Nick and…

I had a really good impression of Nick and the team but unfortunately they significantly underdelivered on what was promised. With two days left after our first month all we had received was a list of keywords and a few articles that were almost certainly AI generated, about 20%…

FAQ

Montgomery County PPC questions.

What Montco owners ask before they hand over a budget.

How much does pay per click cost in Montgomery County?

The ad budget is yours to set and is paid to Google directly. The management fee is priced on the size of the account rather than a percentage of spend, so there is no reason for us to want the budget higher. Clicks in King of Prussia and Blue Bell run higher than in Pottstown or Lansdale, and the free audit gives an estimate for your category and your townships.

Can we meet the people running the account?

Yes. The paid team works in our Montgomeryville office, a few minutes from the 309 and 202 interchange, with a second office in Jenkintown. The kickoff can happen at either office or at yours, and the monthly review can be in person if you prefer it to a call.

Should the campaign target the whole county or my township?

Usually a set of townships rather than either. A practice draws from a few miles; a contractor from a corridor; a specialist from the whole county and beyond. We map your past customers by zip code and build the targeting from where they actually came from, then widen or tighten it from the call data.

Do you run Local Services Ads for Montgomery County trades?

Yes. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, landscaping, cleaning and most home services are eligible, along with legal and several professional categories. We handle the verification, write the profile, set the per-lead budget and dispute the leads that were not real.

Who owns the ad account and the data?

You do. We build in an account in your name and work in it as a manager, and the history, audiences and conversion data stay with you if you ever leave. An account you already have is audited and rebuilt inside, not replaced.

How soon do the calls start?

As soon as the ads are approved, usually inside the first week. The first month is spent cutting the searches that do not convert and moving the budget toward the ones that do, so the cost per call falls through the first quarter. The report counts calls and forms, not clicks.

Pay Per Click Management in Montgomery County, PA

Montgomery County is the wealthiest large county in Pennsylvania and the most varied, which makes it a difficult place to run a lazy campaign. The same search costs different amounts in King of Prussia and in Pottstown, and brings different customers. PPC management here is the work of splitting the county into the markets it actually is and spending in each one at the price it is worth.

Every account starts with the search terms report and the customer list. We look at what Montgomery County customers typed before they called, map the calls by zip code, and build the campaigns around the phrases and the townships the customers came from. Negative keywords are worked every day, and the first month is mostly spent removing the searches that were never going to become a job.

Google Ads, Local Services Ads and remarketing

Search campaigns on Google Ads carry most of the budget. Local Services Ads sit above them for the trades and home services that fill the county, priced per lead with the Google Screened badge, and we dispute the leads that were never a customer. Remarketing on Meta and the Google Display Network brings back the visitor who looked and did not call, which in a county where people compare three contractors before choosing one is a meaningful share of the jobs.

King of Prussia Is Not Lansdale

The clearest way to waste money in Montgomery County is to run one campaign for the whole of it. King of Prussia and Conshohocken are office markets: professional services, medical, lunch and evening searches, and the highest prices per click in the county. Lansdale, Hatfield, Harleysville and the 309 corridor are trades, manufacturing and home services, searched early in the morning and on weekends at a fraction of the price. Blue Bell and Plymouth Meeting are practices and firms. Pottstown and Norristown are cities of their own, with their own customers and their own prices. Abington, Jenkintown and Willow Grove overlap with Philadelphia and need the city campaign to know where the county one starts.

We build location targeting by municipality and set bid adjustments for each, with the schedule following your own call data. A campaign for a Blue Bell practice turns down in Pottstown, and a Lansdale contractor does not pay King of Prussia rates. Where a business serves Bucks County too, the Bucks County pay per click campaign runs from the same desk and the two share budgets instead of bidding against each other along the county line.

Pages the campaign lands on

Each ad group lands on a page about that service and that town, fast on a phone, with the number in reach. Where the page does not exist, we build it as part of the work.

Paid Search Feeding the SEO Program

The ad account is the fastest research tool we have. In a month it tells us which Montgomery County searches turn into customers and which only bring clicks, and that knowledge should go straight into the Montgomery County SEO program, so the organic pages are built on terms already proved to pay. As the map pack and the organic rankings take over a term, the paid budget on it comes down and moves to the next one.

The organic data works the other way too. It shows which searches already bring customers for free, so the campaign stops bidding on the brand and the strongest terms and spends where the rankings are not there yet. A business that runs both with us gets one report, one set of call recordings and one person to call about either.

Ownership and reporting

Campaigns are built in an ad account the business owns. We work in it as a manager, the fee is priced on the size of the account rather than a share of the spend, and if you leave, the history and the conversion data stay with you. The monthly report says what was spent, what it bought and which towns and searches produced the calls.

Other Services

Paid data should feed the organic program, so SEO in Montgomery County and Local SEO run on what the Paid Advertising campaigns have already proved converts. The Montgomeryville and Philadelphia campaigns run from the same office.
