Programmatic advertising, bought in the open.
Display, video, connected TV and audio, bought through the same auctions the big trading desks use — with the media cost and our fee on separate lines so you can see which is which.
What is programmatic advertising?
Buying ad space through a real-time auction instead of a phone call. The four parts that decide whether it works:
Audience Building
Who gets to see the ad, defined from your own data first — customer lists, site visitors, cart abandoners — before any third-party segment is bought. Audiences built from your data cost nothing extra and behave better than rented ones.
Formats & Inventory
Display, online video, connected TV, streaming audio and digital out-of-home all trade programmatically. Each one suits a different job, and the mix is a decision rather than a default. We say which formats we are buying and why.
Brand Safety & Fraud
Open exchanges carry made-for-advertising sites, bot traffic and pages you do not want your logo beside. Inclusion lists, exclusion lists and pre-bid filtering keep the budget on inventory a person actually sees.
Measurement
Impressions are not an outcome. We report on the thing you sell — calls, forms, orders — and say plainly which conversions the ads can be credited with and which they cannot, including what view-through attribution is and is not worth.
Where Programmatic Fits Beside Search
Search advertising catches people who already know what they want. Programmatic reaches people before that, which is a different job with a different measurement problem: a display impression rarely gets the last click, and judging it on last-click conversions will always make it look like a waste.
So we run the two together and report them together. Search takes the demand that exists; programmatic builds the demand that search will later capture. When the budget is tight, search comes first — and we will tell you that rather than sell you a channel you are not ready for.
What You Get Every Month
A report that separates media spend from our fee, the inventory the budget actually ran on, the audiences that performed and the ones we switched off, and the conversions we are claiming with the attribution window stated next to them.
Plus the exclusion list, so you can see which sites and apps we blocked on your behalf and add any we missed. It is your budget; you should be able to audit where it went.
You are buying the ads. Do you know what you paid for them?
Programmatic is the only part of most media plans where the buyer cannot see the price. A budget goes into a trading desk, a number comes back out, and the fees in between — the platform cut, the data cut, the agency margin — are rarely itemised. We run it the other way round: you see the media cost, you see our fee, and you see what the two bought.

FAQs on programmatic advertising
Google Ads is mostly intent: somebody types what they want and you bid to answer them. Programmatic is mostly audience: you bid to reach a person who fits a profile, while they are reading, watching or listening to something else.
They are complements rather than alternatives. Search converts demand that already exists. Programmatic puts you in front of people before they start searching, which is why it is judged on a longer window and why it is the wrong first channel for a business that has not yet captured the demand it already has.
Enough that the campaign can learn something. Spread a small budget across display, video and connected TV at once and you get a handful of impressions in each, no statistically useful data, and a report full of noise.
Rather than quote a number that would be wrong for most businesses, we will look at what you are trying to reach and tell you whether programmatic clears that bar yet. If it does not, the honest answer is to put the money into search and come back to this later.
Three layers. An inclusion list of inventory we actively want, which is the strongest control and the one most campaigns skip. Exclusion lists for categories, sites and apps you do not want to appear on, including made-for-advertising sites that exist only to carry ads. And pre-bid filtering that drops an impression before we pay for it when the signals look like fraud or the page fails a brand-safety check.
You get the exclusion list in the monthly report and can add to it. Nobody knows your brand’s red lines better than you do.
Whatever you sell — a call, a form, a booking, an order. Not impressions, and not clicks on a display ad, which correlate poorly with anything that matters.
The honest complication is attribution. A person who sees a connected TV ad on Tuesday and searches for you on Friday did not click anything, so the conversion lands in organic or in search. We report view-through conversions separately from click-through ones and say which window we used, so you can decide how much credit to give them rather than having that decision made for you inside a dashboard.
No. The media cost and our fee appear on separate lines, every month. That is the whole reason this page exists: a blended number hides whether a rising cost is the auction getting more competitive or the agency taking more, and the buyer has no way to tell the two apart.
Meet our
paid ads team.
Meet the team that would run the buy — the same people who run the search campaigns, which is the point: one plan, not two agencies arguing over credit.
Book a CallHow Programmatic Buying Actually Works
An ad slot comes up for sale the moment someone opens a page or starts a stream. The publisher offers it through an exchange, every interested buyer bids on it inside roughly a tenth of a second, and the winning ad loads. That auction happens a few hundred billion times a day, and programmatic is simply the business of bidding in it on your behalf.
What makes one programmatic campaign work and another burn money is not the technology, which everyone rents from the same handful of platforms. It is the three decisions around it: who you bid on, what you refuse to bid on, and what you count as a result. Those are the three things we put in writing before a campaign goes live.
What It Costs, and Where the Money Goes
Three costs sit inside a programmatic budget. The media itself, which is what the publisher gets. The technology, which is what the demand-side platform and any data provider take. And the agency fee, which is what we take for running it.
Most trading desks quote one blended number, which means the buyer cannot tell a rising media price from a rising margin. We quote the three separately and report them separately every month. If the media cost goes up because the auction got more competitive, you will see that; if our fee goes up, you will have agreed to it first.
Programmatic also has a floor below which it is not worth running. Spread too thin, a budget buys impressions nobody remembers and data too sparse to learn from. We will tell you if your budget is better spent entirely on search this quarter.
