Restaurant websites that fill tables.

Menus Google can read, ordering and reservations that work on a phone, hours that are never wrong, and photos that load before the visitor gives up. Built in-house, with the local SEO that gets the site found in the first place.

What a restaurant site has to do

Four jobs, on a phone, in ten seconds.

A menu Google can read

A PDF menu is invisible to search and painful to pinch and zoom. We build menus as real pages, with dishes, prices and dietary notes as text, so "gluten free pizza near me" can land on the dish itself and a visitor can read it with one thumb.

Ordering and reservations that work

Whatever you use for online ordering or bookings, it gets a button that is visible without scrolling and opens without a detour. The fewer taps between hungry and ordered, the more orders.

Hours, address and phone, always right

Hours live in one place and feed the site, the Google Business Profile and the schema markup, so a holiday change does not leave three different answers online. Tap-to-call and tap-for-directions on every page.

Photos that load before they leave

Food photography sells the table, and it is also what makes restaurant sites slow. We size and compress every image for the phone it will be seen on, so the page shows the food instead of a spinner.

Local SEO is part of the build, not an add-on

Local SEO is part of the build, not an add-on

A restaurant is found on a map before it is found on a website, so the site is built to feed the map: a Restaurant schema node with your menu, hours, cuisine and price range; location pages when you have more than one; and the Google Business Profile set up to match the site word for word.

We are a search agency that builds websites, which is a different thing from a design shop that has heard of SEO. The site ranks because ranking was the point from the first wireframe.

You own it, and you can update it

You own it, and you can update it

Menus change weekly and specials change daily, so the site is built on WordPress with the menu, hours and specials editable by whoever runs the front of house, from a phone, without calling a developer.

The domain, the hosting and every account are in your name from day one. If you ever leave, you take the whole thing with you.

Why restaurants are different

Nobody reads a restaurant site. They use it.

A visitor wants four things in the first ten seconds: are you open, what is on the menu, how do I order or book, and where are you. A restaurant site is a tool, and it has to work on a phone in a parking lot with one bar of signal. Everything else is decoration.

SEO Locale has been handling the marketing for our company, Sector Bay Laundry, for about 6 months. We moved on from another company, and the work ethic and responsiveness have been a night and day difference. I can't point out one specific person because the entire team as…

SEO Locale has been incredible to work with. We had been using another company before them, and the results were very poor so partnering with SEO Locale was a breath of fresh air. From day one the difference in communication, professionalism, and results was obvious. Nick and…

We’ve been working with SEO Locale for over a year now, and the impact has been great. They took the time to understand our niche in exotic car exhausts and built an SEO strategy that fits our brand perfectly. We’ve seen stronger organic traffic, better keyword rankings, and…

I had a really good impression of Nick and the team but unfortunately they significantly underdelivered on what was promised. With two days left after our first month all we had received was a list of keywords and a few articles that were almost certainly AI generated, about 20%…

FAQ

FAQs on restaurant web design

What owners ask before they commission a site.

Should my menu be a PDF?

No. A PDF cannot be read by search engines as part of your site, it is slow to open on a phone and it has to be pinched and zoomed. We build the menu as a page, with each section, dish and price as text, and make it editable from the dashboard so it stays current. If you want a printable version too, we generate it from the same content.

Can you connect my online ordering and reservation system?

Yes. Whatever you use, the site links to it with a button that is visible without scrolling on every page and opens without a detour. We do not replace a system that is working; we make it one tap away and track how many people use it.

Can I update the menu, hours and specials myself?

Yes. The site is built on WordPress with the menu, hours and specials as simple fields, editable from a phone by whoever runs the front of house. Hours live in one place and feed the footer, the contact page and the schema markup, so a holiday change is made once.

Does the site include SEO?

It is built by a search agency, so yes: Restaurant schema with your menu, hours, cuisine and price range; a menu search engines can index; location pages when you have more than one; and a Google Business Profile set up to match the site. Ongoing local SEO is a separate service, and the site is built so it does not have to be rebuilt to start it.

Who owns the site when it is done?

You do. The domain, the hosting, the site and every account are in your name from the first day, and you can take all of it with you at any time.

How do I get a price?

There are no packages. We review your current site and your goals, free, and send a written proposal with the plan, the timeline and the price. The pricing page explains what moves the number.

What goes into a restaurant website

Every restaurant site we build starts from the same question: what does a hungry person on a phone need to do, and how fast can they do it? The answer sets the structure.

The home page answers whether you are open, what kind of food, where, and how to order or book, all above the fold. One photo that sells the place, one line that says what it is, two buttons.

The menu is a real page, not a PDF. Sections, dishes, prices and dietary notes as text, so search engines can index it and a visitor can read it without zooming. If the menu changes often, it is editable from the dashboard in minutes.

Ordering and reservations connect to whatever you already use, with the button in the same place on every page. We do not replace a system that works; we make it one tap away.

Location and hours live in one place and feed the footer, the contact page, the Google Business Profile and the schema markup. Holiday hours change once.

Photos and video are sized for phones and compressed properly, because food photography is the thing that sells the table and the thing that makes most restaurant sites slow.

Why a search agency should build it

Most restaurant sites are built by a designer and handed over. They look fine and nobody finds them. We are a search agency first: the site is built to rank for the searches that fill tables, with Restaurant schema, a menu Google can read, location pages where they are warranted, and a Google Business Profile that matches the site exactly.

It also means the site is measured. Calls, direction requests, orders and reservations are tracked from the first week, so you know what the site is doing for the room, not just how it looks.

Other Services

A site is the middle of the work, not the end of it. Local SEO gets it found, Google Business Profile work keeps the map listing right, social media feeds the photos, and the restaurant SEO page covers the search side in full.
